Cozi App

I came across this wonderful app in the US iStore. The Cozi app allows one to synchronise Calendars, Shopping Lists, To Do Lists and send messages to the various family members. It also has a cool Journal that allows a family member to capture special moments in words or photos and once uploaded will be accessible on every family members iPhones or computers. By the way, Cozi is also available on android, but, not having used it, I cannot comment on that.

Best of all, Cozi is currently free but has adverts which appear on the iPhone. There is also a Gold subscription that comes with extra and well worth it features.

For the busy family juggling different calendars of work, business trips, kids activities and classes as well as the ever changing shopping lists, Cozi is a godsend. Run out of personal toiletries, put it into the shopping list and the next time someone is in the store and opens up Cozi, the item is there to remind them. This app will definitely be replacing my current go to shopping list.

Making life easier

One of the main reasons that I love Apple products is because they get out of the way when one wants to work, play or create. To use the oft repeated phrase, they just work. The issue that has arisen recently with me, stems from the other reason that apple products are so desirable. They are aesthetically very well designed, making them often the destination of my efforts rather than the vehicle that I use to get there.
I find myself spending an increasing amount of time updating, upgrading, cleaning out, ogling, caressing and showing off my apple stuff rather than just using them for the purpose that they were created, to get out of the way and just work.
